The Palma Ceia PTA

Our PTA provides funding and coordinates support and volunteers for a number of programs at our school. These programs are designed to enhance our kids normal curriculum with additional outside learning opportunities.

Current Programs

• 6th Grade Science Camp
  • Each year the 6th graders are working hard to attend a week long science camp. Through fundraising of their own as well as help from the PTA, we were able to send the 2018 graduating 6th grade students to Science Camp.
• Chrome Book/Cart Enhancements
  • The PTA has already purchased 1 Chrome Cart for Palma Ceia and we are working to fund more. Chrome Carts allow Chrome Books to be brought into your childs class to have technology at their fingertips.
• Basket Ball Teams
  • The PTA has funded uniforms and facilities fees for both our Girls and Boys basketball teams. Our students are able to enjoy being part of a team, learning a new sport and more with no expense directly to the students or families.
• Multi-Cultural Dinner
  • This annual event invites all Palma Ceia families out for a huge pot luck to enjoy the many different culture Palma Ceia embraces. From amazing foods to entertainment, this is an event you don’t want to miss. Our PTA members and School Staff will serve you and drinks are donated by the PTA as well.
• Book Fair
  • Palma Ceia hosts 1 or 2 book fairs each year. This allows your students to purchase amazing Scholastic book(s) of their choosing. Your purchases help fund new books for our library and our students.
• Teacher Appreciation Week
  • The first week in May is teacher appreciation week! The PTA encourages you to make your teachers feel special and appreciated. You can do this with a hand made card, a flower from your garden, perhaps a sweet treat or more. Reminding our teachers that we appreciate all they do can make all the difference.
• Volunteer Fingerprinting Fund
  • The PTA offers a Fingerprinting Program to encourage more parents to volunteer in our schools. If you are a PTA member, you can submit your receipt for your fingerprinting costs and the PTA will reimburse you up to $30.
